Going back to buying frame of mind

Remember what first attracted you to your home when you bought it? What excited you the most about it? When deciding how to best present your home for sale, it is helpful to try and get back into the buyer’s frame of mind.

A spruced-up house makes a great first impression on potential buyers. An attractive property grabs their attention and makes them excited about finding a house that looks and feels well cared for. Think of those items you’ve become used to looking at. Like the dust bunnies in the vents. How about that towel rack that one side came off years ago. Little items that have become last on the list should now get that attention before listing your home.

A good first impression makes an impact on a number of levels. It’s not just the way your house looks to potential buyers, but how it feels and smells to them. How do they think their friends and family will react to this home and how they imagine living in it.
With simple improvements throughout your home, you can grab the attention of potential buyers and help them see why your house is right for them.
