Preparing to sell your home

Preparing to sell your home can sometimes feel like a daunting task. If you will be staying in the home during the process here are a few tips to help get you through.

If you have a spacious garage and can use it as storage, pack the personal items, such as, pictures, knickknacks, kitchen appliances that you're not using and those items you can do without using for a little bit. Stack these neatly in the garage.

If you don't have a garage, try using a spare room or arranging furniture so you have a little wall space. Make sure the space you use doesn't interfere with walking or a prospective buyers view. You don't want to fill the closets, this may appear to the buyer there is a storage shortage.

Clear off counters in kitchen & bathrooms. We want buyers to see the space the home has to offer.

Clean those areas we all tend to forget about, such as, the dust bunnies in/on the vents and bathroom fans, wipe down window sills, under the overhead stove light, and all those other areas we tend to forget about.
